Bio

Los Angeles based group Seduction Revolution creates Retro Futuristic Cinematic Pop by combining influences of retro 60’s pop and lounge, spy show and movie soundtracks, and modern rock, pop and dance.
“I listen to very little modern music, except for some dance, electronica and pop music for production reference,” says songwriter producer Robert Szeles (pronounced saylesh). I most enjoy music, movies and shows from the 1950′s through the late 1960′s. I’m a big fan of the Bond movies, The Avengers, Danger Man, Peter Gunn, etc., as well as 1950’s sci fi. I love soundtracks from that time by composers like Lalo Schifrin, Henry Mancini, Laurie Johnson and John Barry, lounge music like the orchestral work of Les Baxter, bossa nova, motown and soul. Anyone who enjoys that music is probably going to enjoy ours.”
Szeles, who is also the singer songwriter for the rock band Kiss the Girl, was awarded 3rd place in the Rock category in the 2009 Just Plain Folks Music Awards, the largest independent music award in the world with over 560,000 song entries in 2009. “I come from a rock background, and that definitely finds its way into the music of Seduction Revolution.” His music has been featured in many major TV shows, commercials and film trailers, and has received much radio play in the USA and abroad. While Kiss the Girl is a stripped down rock band, Seduction Revolution is a far more sophisticated project with horn and orchestral arrangements and features successful female vocalist Rachel Mintz.
“Rachel is the most talented female singer I’ve ever met,” says Szeles. “She has a soulful, passionate voice that can communicate the strong emotional content of the songs, as well as versatility and style. It’s really exciting to hear her sing my songs and I know she’s excited to be singing them, even if I do work her pretty hard in the studio.”
Seduction Revolution’s new single, Rocketship, is now available for free download on their website at www.seductionrevolutionmusic.com for those who sign up for their newsletter. They will be releasing about one single per month until the release of their album slated for later this year. As for live shows, they plan on creating that romantic, exciting, mysterious retro 60’s spy soundtrack environment to go with the music.
